Turn off the tap, answer the phone and tell whoever it is to wait while I answer the door, answer the door. The dog barks at anything so I would just ignore him.

Well seeming they live in Australia the fact that they would pop in to see me here would be a BIG surprise so I would of course let them stay with me!

Not seen, but I know we had one in our house when we were kids. Things would happen that cannot be explained.
