How green are you?

1. Do you recycle?

I do the best I can. We don't have a recycle trash pick up out here in the country.

2. Have you ever hung clothes on a line instead of using the clothes dryer? 

In Australia that is the normal thing to do, however here it's different. We don't have a clothes line, but eventually I would like one.

3. Do you walk or bike to work to save energy?

I don't work so I save a bunch!

4. Do you use a water filter for your tap water or do you buy bottled water?

We have a filter on our well.

5. How many trees do you kill each year buying new books?

I haven't bought a new book in a couple of years.

6. Have you ever considered recycling your cellphone?

I have done that a few times actually.

 7. All you need are a few simple non-toxic ingredients like baking soda, vinegar, lemon, and soap to clean your home.  Are you willing to throw away the bottled chemicals?

I try to use natural things around the home already. Certain things do need chemicals though.

MCQ: Helter Skelter

1.What is one thing that will put a great big ole smile on your face?
My son and my husband. They make me smile all the time.

2.Your walking down the street toward a very familiar face. As you get closer you realize you do not remember this persons name at all. Do you speak with the chance that they'll want to stop and chat or do you pretend that you don't see the person?
This happens to me ALL the time! I usually talk about general things until they say something that reminds me who they are! I am not afraid to say to people that I forget their names though.


3. Are you the Rock or the sponge of your household?
I think I am a bit of both. I used to be the rock but living in a strange country and not knowing alot of things over here I tend to rely on my husband more now.


4. You have gone over to a friends for dinner. You look down at your plate and notice a great big ole hair hanging out from inside your sandwich. What do you do?
OH GOD! I am so picky with food that I couldn't eat it. I really would dry heave. I would make up something about having a stomach ache or something but there is no way I would eat it.

5. If you HAD to name one....who would you say is your role model?
I don't think I have one funnily enough.


6. Have you raised children? If so do you think your parenting skills were top notch or could have used a little help from Dr Phil?
I think I do a pretty good job. My son has a form of autism so my expectations of parenthood was way off!


7. would your -(Past or present)- mate/spouse, significant other/whatever -say that living with you has been like a gentle breeze or more like a hurricane?
My husband is a gentle breeze definitely. I am the hurricane.

8. When you shop at the grocery store, do you always shop exactly by a list or just go helter skelter and hope that you get home with most of what you need?
I sometimes have a list but I generally know what I need. But I do get things I don't need alot.

No tattoos and no desires.

2. You have been offered a free botox treatment...where do you have them put it?
In someone else! I am not interested. I prefer to age naturally.

Do you think it works?
No good luck charm.

4. When was the last time that you said something to someone that you REALLY wished you hadn't said?

I don't usually regret things I say so I can't really think of anything.

5. The bath water is running, the phone is ringing, the dog is barking and there is someone at the door.....what do you do?

Turn off the tap, answer the phone and tell whoever it is to wait while I answer the door, answer the door. The dog barks at anything so I would just ignore him.

6. Your best friend from high school just popped in from out of town. do you offer them a place to stay or suggest a hotel?
Well seeming they live in Australia the fact that they would pop in to see me here would be a BIG surprise so I would of course let them stay with me!

7. Have you ever seen a ghost?
Not seen, but I know we had one in our house when we were kids. Things would happen that cannot be explained.

8. Someone is driving in front of you rather erratically and slowing you way down...now you see that they are talking on a cell phone and checking themselves out in the mirror. The other lane is blocked off so you can not go around them. What do you do??

Monday Crazy question : Likes Or Dislikes

1. What would you say is your biggest blessing ?
My family (In-laws especially). They are wonderful.

2. do you shop on line...Home goods or personal items? Can you tell us what personal items you look for??
Sometimes, for camera equipment especially.

3. Name a song from your past that you have always loved. what year was it recorded?
I Got You - Split Enz 1980. It's the first song I remember ever liking. I still love it today.



4. If you found out there was a paedophile living in your neighbourhood, would you take any action or ignore the fact??
The sad fact is they have to live somewhere. Unless we are going to send them to an island of paedophiles. Knowing they are there is a good thing at least.

5. If you could live in any city In the USA...what would it be.
I am pretty happy where I am now. All my hubby's family are close by and I love the area.


6. what is the one city you wouldn't live in even if you were paid to!?
LA, sorry to those that live there but it does not appeal to me at all.

7. If you were strapped for cash would you ask a parent or sibling for money?
Not in my family but my hubby's family have helped us out countless times, immigration is not cheap.

8. what is your most favourite thing to do to relax when you are not working?
Well I am a housewife so I am always "working" but I like to read or take photographs.

2. have you ever had an infatuation with someone on the internet? I met my husband on the internet so that is a big YES!

3. a 20 dollar bill is laying on the door step of a store as you are leaving. Half the bill sits outside the door..half in. do you turn it in or pocket it?
If you were coming INTO the store when you saw it, would it make any difference in your decision?
I would let my husband decide, and knowing him he would take it!

4. you just won the lottery....your family will be all over it as soon as they find out. Do you try to keep from telling them about it?
My family wouldn't act like that and I would tell them. They would get part of it.

5. Did you ever play ' I'll show you mine, if you show me yours', when you were a child?
Wait, you mean your supposed to stop playing that?

6. Do you remember a huge crush you had on someone while in high school?
Did the crush turn into more?

Yes and no. I had the biggest crush on a senior when I was a sophomore and he was the lead in the school play and was really good looking and artistic. I was never into the usual athletic types. I liked the arty, talented, smart guys.

7. Have you ever had a full body massage?
Were you comfortable or uneasy about being touched all over?
Yes I have and no not really. It wasn't a sensual massage or anything, they don't touch your privates! I have a bad back and neck so massages to me aren't usually enjoyable in that sense, they hurt more than anything.
