1. What was the very first pet you ever had? How close were you to that pet?
I can't remember the first as we had cats & dogs all the time when we were kids and I was the youngest. But the earliest pet I remember is our cat Champagne. She was a white & ginger cat that kept having kittens! We were supposed to be watching her for a friend for a few months and we ended up keeping her for years. The reason she kept having kittens was her real owner didn't want her to be fixed and we couldn't afford it. She was a sweet cat though.

2. What is the most unusual pet you’ve had?
We used to have penny turtles when we were little.

3. How many different kinds of animals have you owned and which type do you think acted the closest to you?
We have had dogs, cats, chickens, horses. I think dogs are the most loving and loyal.

1. If you know someone who is interested in you happens to be high maintenance, are you as likely to date them anyway?

If I liked them I probably would but it probably wouldn't last long. I am fairly laid back to I am sure they would get on my nerves! Luck I am married so I don't have to worry about that happening!

2. Do you get more frustrated by your home being in a state of disarray or your workplace being in a state of disarray?

Seeming they are the same place I would say both!

3. You decide to go to the grocery store where you don’t expect to run into anyone you know. How dressed up are you likely to get?

I am always respectable when I leave the house. Casual but neat & clean.

Well I have to admit looks are important. Attraction is usually the first thing when you date someone. However I fell in love with my husband on the internet and already knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him without actually seeing him in the flesh (I did see him on webcam though) Thank god he is good looking!

6. Do you prefer spending more on a birthday gift for a close friend of having them spend more on a gift for you?

I think its the thought that you put into the gift not the money. That goes both ways for me. I prefer to touch someone's heart with a gift than them think I spent alot of money.

I like making desserts so I would make a trifle of a pavlova.

I would make it myself.

3. Where is the last place you met a close friend for coffee or a meal?

It's been a long time and it was when we still lived in Australia. At least a year ago. I don't have any close friends here yet.

None here, in Australia there are plenty. Hubby & I used to go to the same cafe for breakfast on a Saturday for years. The owners knew our order by heart and we all had a cry on our last Saturday. We still keep in contact with them.

6. If you had a local restaurant that you liked, but that was a hangout for you and a close friend, and that friend moved away, would you find it hard to go back how hard would it be for you to continue going to that restaurant?

I don't think I would stop going, its memories, so I would keep going to keep them fresh in my mind.

1. In what grade of school did you feel the happiest? What can you remember that made you feel that way?
9th Grade probably. We had moved back to my hometown and I was with all my friends again.

2. In what grade of school were you least happy? What can you remember that made you feel that way?
Probably 8th grade when we moved away and I didn't know anyone.

3. Of the jobs you’ve had over your career so far, do you feel that you’ve been getting generally more or less satisfied over time?
I hated my last 2 jobs so I would say less satisfied.

4. How close are you to reaching any sort of major goal for where you want to be in life, personal and/or career-wise?
In my personal life I am pretty much where I want to be, happily married in a place I love. I am unemployed so career wise, not to much!

1. You’re planning a trip that would be an eight-hour car ride, a four-hour train ride, or a two-hour plane ride. With money and time being no object, which would you most likely choose and why?

Car ride. Mainly because I am a hobby photographer and I would want to be able to pull over and take photos. Also I haven't seen much of this country so it would be a sight seeing drive also!

2. Has your worst travel experience been on a plane, on a bus or in a car?

Plane. The trip coming from Australia to the USA was awful. Not the actual traveling but things that happened afterwards that I don't want to talk about.

3. Of the following modes of transportation, which one are you most likely to be able to sleep in as a passenger? When did you last doze in that vehicle?

Well seeming there are no "following modes" I will say out of all I have travelled in, a train is the easiest to sleep in.

4. Of that same list, which one would you least likely to be able to sleep in as a passenger? What’s the biggest stumbling block to your being able to sleep that way?

Again, no list! But I will say trying to sleep in a car or anything with an upright seat is hard for me, comfort wise.

Are you worried about Swine Flu (H1N1 influenza)?
Only a little, the common flu kills tens of thousands of people a year.

Do you think it is as bad as the press make out?
Not really, but I think they are trying to warm people. But I think its causing unnecessary panic.

Coughs, colds and flu like symptoms are usually around this time of year, do you think people will panic more now if they get the “common” cold?
Yes, I know people that have panicked because they thought they had the swine flu.

Do you think Swine Flu is a natural decease or man made?
I am sure its just another strain of the flu that is natural.

How long do you think it will be before a “cure” is found for the “common” cold?
They probably already have one!

Has your reaction changed to someone who is sneezing, coughing or sniffing next to you since the news of Swine Flu?
I havn't been around anyone like that since the outbreak.

It's more for sharing my life, like a journal.

Saturday Six - Doctors & Health

Do you rush straight to the doctors when you feel ill?
Not usually, unless I know I have to. I havn't been to the doctors since moving to the USA from Australia as we don't have health care here. I am used to free health care in Australia.

Do you have trouble trying to make an appointment with your doctor?
In Australia I did, my doctor was very popular.

When was the last time you visited your doctor?
The last time I saw my own doctor in Australia would have been at least 6-8 months ago. I did go for a physical here in the USA for immigration in December though.

When someone close to you is ill, are you caring and considerate or do you try to stay away so you don’t catch anything?
I try to look after them as best I can. I will usually catch it no matter what anyway.

Have you ever made the excuse that your ill to get off work/school/college etc?
Yes!

What really annoys you about people when they are ill?
When they complain about being sick but won't go to the doctor or take their medicine.

A bit of both

All the time, I take photos everyday

I got my DSLR in October last year.
