Ruby Tuesday 20/10

Hello Mr Cardinal

Red Cardinal in our front yard.

Heads or Tails - Stop/Go

No way!

This is a little gas station we stopped at in the mountains because I had to "go" so I guess it matched both choices!!

Heads Or Tails

Curious as a Cat #189

1) Among all your childhood friends, who had the parents everyone wanted to have?
Probably me. I only had my mum and she was quite lenient so I guess everyone liked that!

2) Do you have relatives nearby? Or do you have to travel a ways to see family?
I have none of my family nearby. They are all in Australia, with me here in the USA, but I have hubby's family close by.

3) Are you a saver or a spender?
Spender! And a terrible one at that. I need to get better at it really.

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

It makes me think of birthday parties and how we tend to celebrate them more here than I did with my family, which I am so grateful for!

Music Monday #20

This is my first time playing this meme. I love music and have recently discovered a bunch of wonderful artists so I will enjoy sharing them on here!

Currently I am in love with this song from Australian singer Lenka. It's called Trouble is a Friend and I heard it first on Greys Anatomy. I love that she is Australian like me!

1. Of your various email accounts, think of the one with the most cluttered inbox: how many “unread” emails are in it?

None. I have seeing unread emails. I am a little OCD!

2. How often do you make an effort to clean out your inbox?
That is a different story. I hate deleting emails except for junk. My Gmail is probably the worst.

3. Considering most of your accounts, which is generally the most full: your inbox, your junk folder or your sent box?
My Facebook folder

4. Who was the last person to send you an email, and what was the last company or institution to send you an email?
The last person was my friend Donna and the last company was ChaCha.

5. Take the quiz: Which Email Function Are You?

You Are Reply

You are friendly, caring, and warm. What goes on in your friends' lives matters to you.

You are an excellent listener, and you give good advice. Lots of people seek your input, and you're more than happy to give it.

You believe that social ties are important, and you never ignore a friend. You communicate as often as possible with those you love.

You always have words of encouragement, support, or follow up questions. You are gifted at keeping the conversation flowing.

6. You receive a forwarded email from a friend that you know to be factually inaccurate. You confirm this at a fact-checking site like snopes.com. Do you send your friend a note pointing out the errors, or just delete it without mention?
Yep I will tell them.

1. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A chef, then a medical researcher

2. Did you ever pursue that career?
In high school I wanted to be a chef so I took Commercial Cookery. Later on I wanted to be a Medical Researcher so I went back to school to do Human Biology etc but neither panned out.

3. If you are not in that field, what changed?
I got pregnant at 17 and became a single parent. Plus I wasn't very good at Calculus.

4. What is your current job?
Housewife

5. What's the best part of what you do?
I have no boss!

6. Do you have plans to do something else down the road?
I would love to get into professional photography.

7. How did you get your present job? If you are a stay at home mom, how long did you need to plan that move?
I had no choice really. We moved to the USA from Australia and at first I didn't have the right to work, now I need my licence and a car which isn't that easy to get.

8. Did your parents influence your choices of jobs over the years?
not at all

9. What advice would you give your children on careers?
