Saturday 9 St Patricks

1. St. Patrick's Day is March 17th (Thursday). Do you celebrate and wear green? Drink Green Beer? Ignore it?
I used to celebrate it more when I worked. I would dress in green, participate in celebrations during the day. Now as a housewife I don't tend to get into it as much.

2. If a leprechaun told you that you could have any amount of money from his pot of gold but it had to be a specified amount for a specified item, how much would you ask for and what would it be for?
$200 000 - so we could pay off our mortgage and buy a new house. 


3. One of the symbols of St. Patrick's Day is the leprechaun. Name a celebrity that you think would look good as a leprechaun. Name a celebrity that would look ridiculous as a leprechaun. Is there any one celebrity that would make a really scary leprechaun?
Vern Troyer, the guy that played Mini Me in the Austin Powers movies would make a great Leprechaun. Arnold Schwarzenegger would not make a good one.

4. For a prize of $1,000,000,000 you are challenged to make yourself a costume for a St. Patricks Day party. The ONLY rules are that you aren't allow to use clothing and it has to be green. Using anything other than clothing, describe your costume to us using ANYTHING else in the house.
Leaves from the plants in our house. I would weave them together to make a dress.

5. What day of the week is your busiest? Tell us about your schedule.
Tuesday. I wake up early to head to my Weight Watchers meeting then we go to Trader Joe's and anywhere else we need to go.

My son.

I am in shock about what happened in Japan yesterday. Japan has always fascinated me and I even speak Japanese and it just hurts me to watch the destruction there.

Mainly my sleep schedule. I'm a night owl. If I have trouble sleeping it's usually my mind won't turn off.

It was in North Queensland in Australia so it was off the ground with a verandah, big rooms and wooden floors. It also had quite a large yard.

1) Thunderstorm arrives, power outage! How do you occupy your time?
I would light some candles and read or play on my laptop.


2) Explain why you enjoy one of your hobbies. What do you get out of it?

Photography. I just love capturing memories to remember later on.

No. How morbid!

It makes me think of a party or a reception of some sort. Lots of people together, eating and celebrating.

1) Would you want to be able to see what happened at your own funeral?
Not really. I would hate to see my loved ones in such pain. And would hate it more if they weren't ;)

2) Do you ride public transportation? If you've done so in different cities, which one stood out to you?
I used to ride it all the time back in Australia, not here though. I loved riding the trams in Melbourne. Melbourne is such a mix of old style and modern style.

3) What's the last thing you broke? How did it happen?
A nail? Honestly I can't remember and neither can my husband. His actual words were "You don't break stuff!" He is so right!

I think of how I love the look of stubble on my husband. It makes him look older as he has a rather young face. Yet I hate the feel of it. So I can't win!

Imagine you could go back to the age of five and relive the rest of your life, knowing everything that you know now. You will reexperience your entire adolescence with both the cognitive ability of an adult and the memories of everything you’ve learned form having lived your life previously.

Would you lose your virginity earlier or later than you did the first time around (and by how many years)?
Well that is a tough one because the person I lost it to is also the father of my son. I didn't get pregnant right away, almost 2 years later. However if I didn't sleep with him when I did maybe I would never have gotten pregnant and never had my son. Which is really not something I would want to change.

Probably the "s" one.

2. Do you own an iPod?
I have an iPod and an iPhone :)

3. What person do you talk to on the phone the most?
Probably my MIL. But I don't talk on the phone much to anyone if I can help it.

4. Do you still remember the first person you kissed?
Yes. It was in 5th grade. His name was Vernon.

5. Do you remember where you were on 11/9/01?
I was in bed asleep(I was in Perth, Australia) and my BF at the time came and woke me up and turned on the TV to show me what was happening. It was very surreal.

6. What was the last movie you watched?
In the cinema was Iron Man 2.

7. Has anyone ever called you lazy?
haha yes! Including myself. I am a very lazy person.

8. Do you ever take medication to help you fall asleep?
I did last night funnily enough. I have trouble sleeping most nights.

9. Has anyone told you a secret this week?
Not that I can remember.

Eyes and smile.

Eclipse!!

I have a Cure tour t-shirt. That's all I think. Would love a Weezer shirt.

Making dinner.

Yes. I know of at least one. My husband.

Very early hours of this morning in pain from my kidney infection.

A laptop which is connected to a monitor because the screen died. So it's like a desktop cause it's not portable.

Nope.

18. Would you ever date anyone covered in tattoos?
Well seeming I am married and hopefully will remain that way, my dating days are over. However hypothetically, I wouldn't rule it out, however tattoos really don't do anything for me.

Lying in bed.

So long ago I can't remember. I have a bad back so it's not something I try to do.

Now that is a tough one to choose. Let me say for Sci-Fi it would be "Battlestar Galactica" and for Fantasy "Lord of the Rings"

OMG! That is the hardest question ever! Um I can't name on. 28 Days Later or Dog Soldiers or Dawn of the Dead. Too many to choose from.

Horror movies don't really scare me, Signs is one of the scariest movies for me. Blood and gore doesn't scare me. Suspense is more scary to me.

oohh another tough one. Well they have been in a movie together so I say both!

WTH Wednesday: Rednecks

1. It is a common myth that anyone who lives in a trailer is a redneck. Do think this myth is true?
I live in one and no it is not true. I am so not a redneck!

2. Have you ever been to a redneck wedding and if so describe it?
No.

3. What makes a person a redneck?
Anyone like Cletus on the Simpsons. I am yet to meet a full blown Redneck and I live in NC.

4. Do you know any rednecks or have any in the family? Just because your family tree branches doesn't mean you don't have a redneck or two in it.
Hubby tells me he has some in his family that live in Gastonia. I havn't met them though.

The only man that has been able to pull off any form of a mullet is Mel Gibson back in the day. But mostly they are not good.

We don't have them at all.
